40 mostly wooded acres located 1/2 mile off M-33. Property is mostly poplar, pine, and evergreen trees. It is very thick and brushy, with the exception of a few nice openings toward the southwest area of the parcel. Many grouse were seen on a walk about the property perimeters. Deer runs snake through the thickets running mostly north and south. Some elk tracks were also seen here. Lots of great places to hang a tree stand whether in the thickets or drop in a food plot in one of the clearings and hunt the edges. The current owners do not possess the mineral rights for the property and there is an active gas well located just off the road frontage. Possibly a nice place to set up camp, as driveway is already there.
Gas well located at McMurphy Rd frontage | | Tree stand found overlooking a couple deer runs thru the thickets. |
Common scene thru most of the property, very thick, great holding cover for deer and grouse. | | One of the openings near the southwest corner of parcel, possible food plot location. |
Nice rub we found back in an evergreen thicket. Intersting note, most of the deer runs were in north south directions. | | Nice pines found throughout the property, they are a bit thicker toward the west property line. |
